Our innovation in underwater welding technology – the enhanced underwater welding handle. Building upon our extensive experience in the field, we have developed a groundbreaking modification that prioritizes affordability, economy, and ease of operation without compromising on safety or performance. Underwater welding and cutting operations pose unique challenges, and our enhanced underwater welding handle is designed to improve efficiency and precision in demanding underwater environments.

  Underwater Welding Torch Head

We have modified our welding torch to address the brittleness of phenol formaldehyde resin while retaining its insulation properties. The handle has been replaced with more durable and impact-resistant materials, while the welding torch head remains made of phenol formaldehyde resin. The redesigned head, resembling a screw cap, allows for easy changing of the welding rod (E6010) underwater. These modifications ensure efficient and reliable performance during underwater welding operations.

PVC Material Grip for Enhanced Control

PVC material grip, offering exceptional control and comfort for underwater welders. In our revised design, we have chosen PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) as the material for the welding torch handle. PVC is a synthetic plastic with excellent resistance to water, maintaining its properties even underwater. It is a strong and durable material that can withstand impacts, addressing concerns about breakage. Additionally, PVC is an excellent insulator, effectively isolating electric currents. By combining a PVC handle with a phenol formaldehyde resin welding torch head, we achieve a balanced solution that prioritizes durability, safety, and performance in underwater welding operations.

Thoughtful Design Enhances Welding Torch Performance

The head and grip of the welding torch are designed with grooves to enhance the frictional grip. Additionally, the rear end of the handle is shaped like a trapezoid to facilitate easy wrapping of electrical tape around the wire and the conductive copper core. This thoughtful design enables secure attachment and insulation of the wire during operation, ensuring efficient and reliable performance. img05

Our modified underwater welding handle has become the go-to choice for underwater welding in Hong Kong's commercial diver industry. Its user-friendly design has led to widespread adoption, with divers across the region following our modified design and operation guidelines. By prioritizing affordability, economy, and ease of use, while maintaining safety and performance, our modification has significantly improved efficiency and precision for underwater welding operations in challenging environments.
